Hi, I am sorry to say that I will not have time for a detailed look due to a change in job duties.

Dear Mark Barkey

Thank you so much for your free forum.

I am a mechanical engineer. I am working in a company which produces electric motor. I want to simulate one of our process in our production line in order to check how much stress applied to the part. The process is TIG welding (using Argon gas) in order to weld the diodes of our rectifier (Used in alternator to rectify the output voltage) to the bridge (a flat plate which connects stator coils to the diodes). The diodes first pressed to the heat sink (in order to cool the diodes when alternator is operating) and then the diodes and bridges will be welded. I attached a picture that contains the diode and a part of heat sink in axisymmetric modeling space.
I would be appreciated if you help me to get a true results from ABAQUS. because it is very difficult to explain I have attached the cae and journal file.  please do me a favour and check the file and let me know if I did it right.

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

I am referring to the output stress-strain relationship for example in the case of representative vol. element(RVE) analysis we consider the volume average of stress-strain relation. So how to plot(extract) stress -strain data for the whole model?
#45
Are you referring to input stress-strain or the output from an analysis?

Dear All
I am a new user of Abaqus. I would like to know the right way to plot the stress vs strain curve for the entire specimen(not for nodes or elements) or the overall stress vs strain curve.
In case any tutorial or youtube video is available, please share the link.

Thanks

Hello Mark,

My name is Sagar. I work as Analytical Engineer. I also have interest in scripting.

I always like to understand the theoretical side of the software GUI.

Your youtubes lectures are awesome and really helped in my understandings. Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!  :)

Hello Professor!

I found your youtube channel very useful.

I'm a PhD student at the University of Sydney. I'm using LS DYNA and am into developing user-defined material subroutines written in FORTRAN. These days I'm working on a hyperelastic model. I plan on doing a constitutive model for shear thickening fluids in the future.

Thank you for initiating this forum.
